Colgate-Palmolive Company announced an increase in worldwide sales and unit volume together with double-digit earnings growth for third quarter 2007. Worldwide sales grew 12% to $3.5 billion and unit volume grew 5.5%, as reported.

Operating profit increased 22% versus the third quarter of 2006 to $668.8 million, 19% of sales. Excluding restructuring and SFAS 88 charges, operating profit rose 16% to $735.3 million. Reported net income in third quarter 2007 was $420.1 million.
